The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort‑class amenities. Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, our Club offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, ten unique dining venues, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees all golf services and operations including but not limited to golf purchasing
Management of golf cart maintenance and usage, tee‑time reservations, starting and monitoring play
Enforces all rules and regulations governing golf course usage
Coordinates golf operations with Golf Course Maintenance Department and maintains close working relationship with Golf Course Superintendent
Reviews and reports of financial variances at the end of each period
Develops, in coordination with the Director of Golf Operations, annual operating budget and business plan
Works in conjunction with the Tournament Director to manage and execute an innovative tournament program
Coordinates with Golf Retail Director to maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs
Establishes retail sales goals and forecasts with Director of Golf and monitors and analyzes reports
Supervises physical inventories and the display of merchandise and assists in the development of necessary systems to safeguard inventories
Implements cash and systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory, and resources
Oversees and approves all weekly golf time sheets, payroll, purchase orders, invoices and preparation of reports required
Oversees, monitors, and promotes the development of the assistant golf professionals in the PGA PGM program
Thinks innovatively regarding day‑to‑day operations and presents new operational ideas to the Director of Golf Operations
Plays with membership and guests and maintains a competitive level of golf skills
Instructs Jr. Clinics and other clinics as necessary
Conducts Hiring / Staffing in cooperation with Human Resources, trains and supervises assistants, outside staff, and shop staff
Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner and coordinates processes with Human Resources
Implements company and departmental policies and procedures and schedules regular staff meetings
All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must be a Member of the Professional Golfer’s Association of America with experience at a private club with a high volume of play
PGA member for at least 2 years preferred
Must have experience in tournament operations, golf instructional programs, playing, and merchandising.
3-5 years of management experience preferred
Must have customer service, training and supervision of staff, fiscal experience, and tournament organization skills
5 or more years of experience in the business (under P.G.A. requirements) preferred
CRITICAL SKILLS
Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people
Must be able to understand and follow verbal / written instructions
Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations
Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize and delegate in a fast‑paced environment
Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively
Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission
Must be able to interpret the rules of golf
Must be able to demonstrate solid playing skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sit, reach, grasp, talk, hear, listen, bend, twist, kneel and perform repetitive motions
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 20 lbs
Ability to work in a variety of outside weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind and rain
Ability to work varied shifts inclusive of evenings, weekends and holidays
Playing golf and / or hitting golf balls 10% of shift
