Essential Functions

Under administrative direction, serves as a Computer Support Analyst II for the Department of Innovation & Technology, performing complex professional and advisory functions in client services and scheduling, coordinating, configuring, installing, and supporting end‑user hardware such as personal computers, monitors, printers, etc., Microsoft Office Client software products, and various software and supported applications on personal computers for assigned agencies.

Performs configuration, testing, implementation, documentation and maintenance of desktop/laptop Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems and compares configurations to established Agency standard documentation and Agency Service Level Agreements to ensure they comply with Agency security considerations, performance requirements, and established standards.

Serves as a project leader for highly complex desktop installations while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.

Provides end user support for all networking applications by resolving user questions/problems regarding networking applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Outlook.

Analyzes and evaluates new technology to anticipate the probable impact on future plans and current information systems.

Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.

Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with coursework in computer science or directly related fields.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Client Services or a related Information Technology field.

Specialized Skills

Requires three (3) years of professional experience utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MTD), Lite‑Touch imaging, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), JAMF and Azure server to create and modify images and packages to be deployed.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience using Microsoft Server, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, and operating system internals to configure, test, and troubleshoot end‑user devices and support enterprise imaging operations.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience developing and testing imaging solutions to automate and manage enterprise software distribution.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience providing technical consultation and guidance to IT staff and end users, including interpreting customer needs and recommending solutions aligned with agency standards.

Preferred Qualifications (In Order Of Significance)

Three (3) years of professional experience utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MTD), Lite‑Touch imaging, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), JAMF and Azure server to create and modify images and packages to be deployed.

Three (3) years of professional experience using Microsoft Server, Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, and operating system internals to configure, test, and troubleshoot end‑user devices and support enterprise imaging operations.

Three (3) years of professional experience developing and testing imaging solutions to automate and manage enterprise software distribution.

Three (3) years of professional experience providing technical consultation and guidance to IT staff and end users, including interpreting customer needs and recommending solutions aligned with agency standards.

Three (3) years of professional experience working with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms to manage incidents, track asset inventory, and document technical procedures.

Three (3) years of professional experience using PowerShell scripting and log analysis to automate tasks, troubleshoot deployment issues, and improve system performance.

Working knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft Intune to configure and deploy Windows and Mac operating systems in an enterprise environment.

Ability to analyze technical data and system performance metrics, exercise sound judgment, and resolve operational or procedural issues effectively.

Ability to coordinate the activities of technical staff or project teams to achieve deployment goals and ensure compliance with service level agreements and security standards.

Developed verbal and written communication skills to clearly present technical information to diverse audiences, including business users, technical teams, and agency leadership.

Requires the ability to serve in an on‑call capacity.

Requires the ability to attend seminars, conferences and training to remain current on methods, tools, ideologies or other industry related topics relevant to job duties.

Requires the ability to lift and carry objects or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. This is considered medium work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(c)). Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
