Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.

Minimum of 4 years of experience working with maintenance systems.

Minimum of four years engineering/experience in maintenance programs and operational environment.

Ability to read, interpret and create technical drawings with mechanical tolerances using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Knowledge of MS office, CAD software and SAP.

Basic electrical knowledge.

Maintenance/Mechanical knowledge: Operation, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance for ball mills, kilns, dust collectors, bearings, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, pneumatic conveying systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other process equipment.

Knowledge of tribology, vibration analysis, laser alignment, rotor balancing, thermography, ultrasonic tests, magnetic particles inspections, power transmission maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.

Vibration analysis ISO Category I course/certificate.

What you will do Responsible for managing the reliability team, manage SAP PM module and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability by upgrading equipment design/operation through failure analysis, data collection and identification of changes to maintenance, operations, purchasing and design practices.

Main Objectives

Determine and maintain the problem equipment list by updating GCC Tijeras plant downtime management platform (Uptime Go), and ensure plant wide dissemination through reports, dynamic charts (MS excel), pareto charts and other statistic tools.

Manage the failure analysis process within the plant and determine recommendations for prevention based on OEE, downtime and KPIs report.

Initiate and document implementation of recommended actions as approved by maintenance management.

Following up on SAP work orders backlog for all departments and plant wide communicate these indicators by sending a detailed report using dynamic tables/charts to make the information user-friendly.

Review/upgrade equipment preventive maintenance (PM) instructions and update bill of materials (BOM) according to maintenance needs.

Supervise/coach a team of reliability technicians (mechanical and electrical) responsible for performing non-destructive tests such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lubrication routines, preventive equipment inspections, ultrasonic tests, magnetic particles inspections, oil sampling (tribology) and ensure the predictive maintenance strategy is followed.

Will maintain and enforce a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, promote daily housekeeping, adhere to plant policies and proper use of plant radios.

Be familiar with MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/tagout policy, confined space permit policy, hot work policy, emergency response plan, arc flash/shock and burn protection, proper containment, and disposal process (via Waste Management Plan) for lubricants, paints/solvents, and other environmentally sensitive materials.

Ensure quality of work performed, support, promote and utilize continuous improvement system, observe, and promote best practices, good time management and be able to troubleshoot/analyze root cause failure.
