Key Account Manager - Industrial Refrigeration (Remote)

at Danfoss This role is a remote position for applicants located in the United States or Canada. The Impact You'll Make:

You’ll be responsible for growing sales of Industrial Refrigeration products and solutions based on the growth‑based yearly budget. You will develop and strengthen relationships, design and drive account plans with leading OEMs, contractors, and consultants, and collaborate with the sales team and internal stakeholders to drive sustainable long‑term growth. You will also provide high‑level technical overviews and quotations for our industrial refrigeration portfolio, including ammonia and CO2 applications. Responsibilities

Proactively seek and assess opportunities with OEMs and contractors in the region. Document opportunities in CRM platforms, design and drive account plans, and formalize initiatives directly or via rep organization. Develop follow‑up activities to ensure success of account plans. Provide quotations and technical assistance for Danfoss industrial refrigeration portfolio (ammonia and CO2). Prepare valve take‑off schedules, sizing valves and components, and provide competitive solutions. Negotiate and secure business opportunities using value‑selling skills. Inquire with end users about upcoming expansions or new facilities. Own conflict resolution to ensure customer satisfaction. Support the regional consulting engineer, contractor, or end‑user for out‑of‑region projects. Deliver technical training to installers and OEMs to demonstrate Danfoss value. Participate in local industry associations and volunteer for visibility initiatives. Travel up to 50%. Qualifications

BA or BS equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with a business‑oriented mindset. Minimum 3 years of industry‑related experience in a sales or supporting sales role in industrial refrigeration. Knowledge of system controls and power is a strong plus. In‑depth knowledge of the industrial refrigeration market, including products, major customers, competitors, and equipment suppliers. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred). Strong business acumen and ability to assess customer challenges and future needs. Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Professional, tenacious communication skills. Self‑motivated and collaborative with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Benefits
