Guide Strategy | Oversee Grant Writers | Secure Transformational Funding Overview: Season to Soar is seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant Manager to lead and oversee our grant strategy and operations. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise in successful grant acquisition to supervise and support a team of grant writers, ensuring high-quality submissions that align with our mission to empower youth and uplift underserved communities. This strategic position will directly impact our ability to scale and sustain our programs. Responsibilities: Oversee and guide the grant writing team to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness in all proposals.

Develop and manage the overall grant strategy, identifying priorities, aligning opportunities with organizational goals, and forecasting funding needs.

Review and edit all Letters of Inquiry (LOIs), proposals, and reports before submission to ensure alignment with funder criteria and organizational messaging.

Identify new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.

Lead efforts to cultivate and steward relationships with funders and philanthropic partners.

Maintain and monitor the grants calendar, ensuring timely submission, follow-up, and reporting across all applications.

Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather relevant data, impact stories, and financial documentation for inclusion in proposals.

Regularly report on grant pipeline progress, awarded funds, and pending applications to the leadership and Fundraising & Finance Committee.

Time Commitment: Estimated commitment of 5 hours per week entailing: 3 hours in independent grant work per week

1 hour in meetings per week

1 hour of external meetings with funders

Qualifications: Proven track record of successfully awarded grants (foundation, corporate, and/or government).

Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring grant writers or development staff.

Strong editing, writing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to align grant opportunities with program goals and organizational strategy.

Highly organized with experience managing multiple deadlines and submissions.
