Director, Emerging Products, Adobe Firefly Enterprise and GenStudio
Adobe’s mission is to empower people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, transforming how companies interact with customers across every screen.
The opportunity We’re hiring a Director of Emerging Products to launch and scale new enterprise offerings. This hands‑on product leadership role involves incubating a portfolio of net‑new services (e.g., domain‑tuned models, brand governance, prompt operations, digital‑twin/asset automation, workflow accelerators). You will partner with Engineering and Research on design, implementation, experimentation, and quality gates, and collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to ensure commercial success.
Location:
In‑person, San Jose, CA (onsite presence required)
Reports to:
Varun Parmar
What You’ll Do
Incubate new GenAI products: run rapid market tests, proof‑of‑concepts, and design partnerships with lighthouse customers across priority industries.
Build with Engineering: drive prototypes, reference implementations, and service hardening (latency, reliability, cost, and safety).
User research: run customer interviews and hands‑on trials with design partners; transform insights into clear product decisions.
Quality & safety evaluation: define metrics, datasets, and human‑in‑the‑loop review for model/service performance, content safety, IP controls, and watermarking.
Own product strategy & roadmap for the new products; articulate the vision, positioning, and release product plan.
Ship enterprise‑ready services: define requirements for safety, privacy, IP indemnification, compliance, observability, RBAC, quotas/limits, and audit.
Model & data strategy: evaluate buy/build/partner for models, fine‑tuning, RAG, content safety, watermarking, and brand‑style controls; drive evaluation frameworks and acceptance gates.
Monetization & packaging: partner with Finance on pricing & margin, with Legal on terms and DPA/IP.
Customer advocacy: build a Customer Advisory Board and a pipeline of design‑partner feedback; convert learnings into roadmap decisions.
Operational excellence: institute product operating rhythms—OKRs, scorecards, experiment backlogs, and post‑launch health reviews.
Thought leadership: represent Adobe at industry forums; publish POVs on responsible GenAI in the enterprise.
Build and scale a high‑velocity “startup inside the company” culture: rapid experimentation, MVP delivery, measurable value realization.
Lead market discovery: identify unmet customer problems, validate value propositions, quantify business impact.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
7+ years in product leadership (or product‑adjacent GM roles) building platform or enterprise services; 5+ years in AI/ML, content creation, or developer platforms.
Track record of shipping 0→1 products and scaling them in B2B/enterprise.
Strong grasp of generative AI fundamentals (LLMs, diffusion, tuning, evaluation, guardrails), governance (content safety, IP, watermarking), and enterprise controls (security, privacy, compliance, observability).
Excellence in customer discovery, value quantification, and narrative‑driven selling with VP/C‑suite stakeholders.
Ability to lead without authority across Engineering, Design, Research, Legal, Sales, and Customer Success.
Clear, concise communicator; data‑driven decision maker; comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration.
Comfortable working in ambiguity, rapid iteration and pivoting based on feedback (innovator mindset).
Comfort working in a “build‑and‑scale” dual mode: early‑stage lean experimentation and later‑stage operational scale‑up.
Entrepreneurial mindset with bias‑for‑action: you don’t wait for perfection—you launch and learn.
Customer‑obsessed: you dig into customer problems and demand signals rather than simply launching features.
Working model
In‑person, San Jose
Hybrid with travel for key customer engagements, design‑partner workshops, and internal planning (≈20%).
Compensation The U.S. pay range for this position is $166,100 – $334,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
