Job Summary The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region of New York and New England. The role involves identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division, which provides Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing for mold, asbestos, Legionella, and related environmental analyses.

This position requires frequent travel throughout the region, a strong proactive approach to cold‑calling, and the ability to bring in new business while cultivating existing relationships. Knowledge and understanding of environmental laboratory testing, specifically IAQ laboratory testing, is essential.

Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting individual revenue as well as the goal for assigned region.

Establish and maintain productive working relationships between clients and the laboratory.

Ensure customer awareness of Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities.

Provide a sales plan forecast for the assigned region.

Review credit status of both new and existing customers before submitting bids or proposals for new work.

Monitor accounts receivable status for assigned accounts and resolve collection issues as required.

Develop and recommend strategies to facilitate pricing and bid/no‑bid decisions, establish Master Service Agreements, and provide budgetary information.

Develop client profiles and determine potential and ability to fund work.

Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.

Report sales activity within the assigned area.

Update customer databases to identify business opportunities.

Maintain productive relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environment Testing organization.

Develop and implement account plans detailing specific clients, revenue goals, and related account objectives to attain regional revenue quotas.

Identify key target markets and major accounts; develop strategies within the assigned area to attain market position for Eurofins Environment Testing and maintain profitability.

Establish, coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements with customers.

Collect and document information to establish pricing and evaluate Eurofins Environment Testing’s ability to meet customer requirements, win/loss ratios, average discount percentages, and profitability.

Effectively communicate customer needs and wants to Eurofins Environment Testing Customer Service Managers and Project Managers to facilitate successful completion of work.

Complete summaries of sales development activities as directed by GM.

Communicate all business opportunities (bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries) by providing copies or entering information into Eurofins Environment Testing’s database.

Follow up on all outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and price inquiries to achieve successful completion of the sales cycle.

Negotiate pricing and contractual issues within area of responsibility with approval of the GM.

Present Environment Testing as a network of laboratories beyond lab facilities within a geographical region to improve operational efficiencies.

Control expenses related to the selling function pursuant to Eurofins Environment Testing’s policy with approval by GM.

Assume role as “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed.

Provide feedback on market conditions within area of responsibility to facilitate the development of new products and services.

Maintain relationship with one or more of Eurofins Environment Testing’s network facilities to sustain awareness of operational issues related to Eurofins Environment Testing’s ability to meet customer requirements.

Provide information concerning business opportunity outcomes with respect to win/loss ratios and future pricing strategies.

Provide forecasting information to Customer Service Managers to assist operational staff with resource and operational planning.

Assist with the development of sales materials.

Gather and communicate intelligence on competitors within area of responsibility.

Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services within assigned region.

Qualifications

Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required.

Minimum 2‑3 years progressive sales experience in a service industry.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel.

Knowledge of the environmental industry.

Valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Professional working proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking in English.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: Minimum $70,000 per year base + commission with benefits, PTO, and company matching 401(K) plan. Salary may be higher for candidates with specific sales experience in environmental testing, especially IAQ.
