Job Summary
The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager will lead and manage all environmental, health, and safety programs at the Panama City facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a proactive, zero-incident safety culture. Reporting to the VP of HSE & Sustainability, this role drives strategic initiatives and oversees the company’s HSE Management System (HSEMS), including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001 compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, training, and compliance programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and company standards.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations; track performance metrics and corrective actions.
Ensure environmental compliance in waste management, chemical safety, and emissions reporting.
Manage audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely reporting and recordkeeping.
Mentor safety personnel, promote employee engagement, and foster a safety-first culture.
Oversee emergency preparedness, plant security systems, and ESG initiatives (Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions).
Collaborate with site leaders to drive HSE process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.
5+ years of HSE management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 45001 standards.
Proven skills in leadership, training, auditing, and data-driven performance improvement.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
