PM Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:30PM

Training: AM Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 an hour depending on experience, plus $1.00 shift differential

As an NDT level II Penetrant you will:

Responsible for testing tube and duct assemblies and detailed components. Uses automated and manual techniques including digital radiography (DR) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) to perform non-destructive tests (NDT) to identify errors or defects.

What will my responsibilities include?

Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret/evaluate acceptance rejection, and document results.

Perform all NDT level I & II responsibilities using industry standards.

Conduct system performance checks in accordance industry standards.

Training of Trainee/level I and level II Technicians to Industry standards

Follow written practices such as procedures and work instructions.

Knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.

Set up and operate Digital X-ray equipment following procedure, Including interpretation of images.

Capable of processing with existing FPI procedure, Including interpretation of assemblies.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in the department.

Maintaining 5s and safety requirements for the area.

Read and understand blueprints and customer data.

Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.

Qualifications: Qualifications

What key skills and experience do I need?

Three years’ experience in the NDT Methods(s) and manufacturing processes as a certified Level II

Candidate for NDT certification.

Must have the skills and formal training needed to become certified to NAS 410, level II in the applicable test method, and be able to pass an annual eye examination per the requirements of NAS 410.

Education, training, and experience to be qualified for certification.

OJT (on the job training) hours must meet the minimum requirement in order to be certified for NDT Level II per NAS 410.

Education:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

North Star Imaging (NSI) equipment (preferred) Fuji Film, computed radiography (CR) experience is a plus.

Experience with Film Radiography (RT) is a plus.

Experience with inspecting tools such as microscopes, loop, blacklight and pin gauges.
