Base pay range:
$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description The Corporate Paralegal supports the legal department and business operations of a fast-paced organization. This role is responsible for assisting with corporate governance, international legal entities, franchise operations, insurance matters, and compliance across various jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of domestic and international legal entities, including preparing resolutions and managing entity records.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, franchisees, and business partners to ensure compliance with company standards and legal regulations.
Support corporate governance activities, including preparing board materials, shareholder communications, and legal documentation for meetings and transactions.
Facilitate compliance with regulatory and legal requirements by tracking filing deadlines and ensuring documents are filed correctly.
Assist with insurance claims, renewals, and risk management processes relevant to QSR operations.
Coordinate with internal departments (finance, tax, HR, operations) and external counsel to gather necessary information and documentation for corporate filings and compliance.
Provide day-to-day support for legal team operations and assist in other ad-hoc legal tasks as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Corporate governance experience (legal entities, international, resolutions - tax, finance, compliance)
International experience (international business, not living abroad solely.)
