Cabling / Low Voltage Technicians – Hyperscale AI Data Center
Location: On-site at AI Data Centers (Dallas-Ft. Worth)
Duration: 6+ Months
Contract Schedule: Full-time, 5 days / week - 40+ Hours / week
Start Date: Immediate openings available
Position Summary Join the forefront of AI infrastructure development as a Cabling / Low Voltage Technician supporting hyperscale data center build-outs. Under the direction of the Project Superintendent and / or Lead Technician, you’ll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining low voltage cabling systems critical to next-generation AI workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Install and terminate copper and fiber cabling (Cat6A, Cat7, OM4 / OM5 fiber)
Route cable through pathways including conduit, trays, hooks, and raised floors
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and network diagrams
Perform cable testing and certification using Fluke or equivalent testers
Support installation of network racks, patch panels, and work area outlets
Assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of low voltage systems
Maintain safety standards and follow site protocols
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients
Provide physical support for tasks including pulling, climbing, kneeling, and crawling
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; AA degree or technical certification preferred
2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling or data center infrastructure
Familiarity with hyperscale environments and AI / ML workloads is a plus
Experience with fiber optic splicing, cable certification tools, and labeling standards
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify issues before failure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team under changing priorities
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and relocate to new build sites as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
Capable of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods
Must have visual acuity for close work, color recognition, and depth perception
Tolerance for moderate to loud noise environments and varying weather conditions
