Full-Time Social Services Associate Social Services Associate (SSA) is responsible for ensuring proper and complete filing of Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) applications for all minor children in state custody. The position holds dividend monies in trust, notifies OCS Social Workers and Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) workers when PFD applications are due, follows up with reminder notices, requests hard copy applications, and mails them to remote office locations. The SSA works directly with Revenue PFD Specialists to provide additional information required during investigations and appeals, and communicates with field workers to obtain accurate information within deadlines administered by DOR staff.

Special Note

This position requires a valid Alaska driver’s license.

Mileage reimbursement is available when a personal vehicle is used for work‑related matters; automotive insurance must be in place.

A child protective history check will be performed per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315.

The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.

Education and Experience One year of any combination of postsecondary or vocational education and/or experience in assisting clients, customers, the general public, or other staff in the explanation and application of guidelines, policies, or services.
