Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Job Summary Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Operations, the Patient Access Operations Lead will provide administrative support and project work such as scheduling and registration within revenue‑cycle workflows. The role deals with a diverse group of external callers and internal contacts at all organizational levels. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritise and organise a diversified workload.

Qualifications

Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of various departments.

Update and maintain the application Screensteps in a timely manner.

Establish positive relationships with clinic practice managers and MEE Call Centre leadership.

Collaborate with MEE Call Centre leadership to review staff feedback on Screensteps and take action.

Work closely with Patient Access Supervisors and ED Scheduler to ensure timely scheduling of patients needing follow‑up care.

Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to patients to schedule follow‑up care.

Review reports and take appropriate action to resolve issues.

Process internal physician referrals in Epic.

Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e‑mail and mail.

Other duties as assigned.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.

Experience 1–2 years preferred in patient access services, healthcare operations or revenue‑cycle management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and driving performance improvement.

Strong knowledge of patient access processes, revenue‑cycle management, insurance verification and regulatory compliance.

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient scheduling and registration software.

Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving and organisational skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
