Workday Financials Data Consultant Overview The organization is seeking a Workday Financials Data Consultant to support critical data loading and configuration activities for a Workday implementation. The ideal consultant will have hands‑on experience managing Financials data, with additional exposure to HCM data preferred. This role involves collaborating closely with project stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the overall system design.

Key Responsibilities

Work with project stakeholders to complete required data loading activities, including data loads and configuration tasks.

Use approved tools and templates, or request authorization for any alternative tools.

Communicate regular status updates, identifying blockers, risks, and milestones.

Collaborate with functional leads to ensure data load dimensions meet functional design requirements.

Create and maintain load checklists in Smartsheets or Excel as required.

Lead customer meetings to troubleshoot data issues, provide progress updates, and share best practice recommendations.

Document all data issues or errors thoroughly, ensuring secure storage of information containing PII.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in Workday data management, data conversion, or data migration activities.

Proven experience supporting Workday Financials implementations (HCM data experience a plus).

Strong understanding of Workday EIBs, data loads, data validation, and data mapping.

Familiarity with Workday Financials data structures such as Suppliers, Customers, Journal Lines, Ledger Accounts, and Spend Categories.

Experience creating and maintaining data load templates and checklists (Excel, Smartsheets, or equivalent).

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills with the ability to lead data‑focused discussions and guide stakeholders on best practices.

High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data confidentiality, particularly when handling PII.

Workday certification in Financials, HCM, or Integration (preferred but not required).
