Why This Role, Why Now At Porte + Hall, we’re redefining what a doormat can be — and in the process, reshaping an entire category. In just six years, we’ve built a premium DTC brand that’s profitable, growing fast, and loved by customers who never thought they’d be this excited about a doormat.

As we scale our manufacturing operations and expand our product lineup, we’re looking for a

Cost Accountant

who loves digging into the details. Someone who sees the story behind the numbers and uses it to drive smarter decisions. This isn’t just about spreadsheets and reconciliations; it’s about building the financial foundation that powers our next stage of growth.

The Impact You’ll Have This isn’t your typical accounting role — you’ll play a central part in how we scale efficiently, profitably, and sustainably. In this role, you’ll:

Own our cost structure

: managing and optimizing Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness across our manufacturing partners.

Bring clarity to complexity

: analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs to uncover insights and identify efficiency gains.

Keep inventory in sync

: overseeing inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting across physical counts, ERP systems, and financial statements.

Be our on-the-ground connector

: providing occasional on-site support for audits, process reviews, and relationship management with manufacturing partners.

Level up our systems

: play a key role in implementing advanced inventory and ERP systems that will streamline how we operate.

Collaborate cross-functionally

: working closely with operations, procurement, and supply chain to understand cost drivers and inform smarter planning.

Contribute strategically

: helping shape budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models that support our rapid growth.

What Makes You Right for This You’re a sharp, analytical thinker who thrives on precision, but you also see beyond the numbers. You understand that cost accounting isn’t just about control; it’s about clarity — the kind that helps a business scale with confidence.
