HR Generalist – Employee Relations (57773)
Join Aurora Mental Health & Recovery as an HR Generalist in Employee Relations. In this dynamic role you will support a wide range of HR functions—employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and compliance—to help foster a positive workplace culture.
Schedule Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hybrid schedule: 2 days in‑office with flexibility to adjust based on team needs.
Essential Functions
Employee Relations: Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and leaders, addressing employment‑related inquiries, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the HR Director as needed. Conduct impartial investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions. Support employee relations programs that promote a positive and productive workplace, and collaborate with leadership to identify trends and implement proactive strategies to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
Leave of Absence Management: In partnership with the Benefits Administrator, develop, administer, and oversee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, FAMLI, ADA, and STD. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, guide employees and leaders, and manage documentation and tracking within the HRIS.
HRIS Management: Accurately process HR transactions within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and timely updates. Support the training of new managers on HRIS processes.
Policy & Procedure Administration: Provide expert guidance to leaders on company policies and procedures. Maintain and update HR policy documentation to ensure accessibility and compliance. Assist in training new managers on HR policies.
Termination & Exit Interviews: Manage the employee termination process, conduct exit interviews, and compile feedback to generate actionable insights for HR leadership. Assist in presenting key findings to senior leadership.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly turnover and other staffing reports, offering data‑driven insights to inform HR strategy.
Contractor Management: Develop and implement standardized HR processes for contractors, tailoring procedures to meet departmental needs while maintaining organizational consistency.
License & Credential Management: Collaborate with the credentialing team to ensure timely license renewals and accurate record‑keeping in the HRIS. Create and manage a notification system for upcoming renewals, engaging both leaders and affected employees.
Workers’ Compensation & Unemployment: Coordinate the workers’ compensation process, including claim filing and follow‑ups. Manage unemployment responses for non‑exempt employees, consulting with the HR Director as needed.
Performance Management Support: Support the performance management cycle by tracking completion, standardizing communications, and addressing inquiries related to feedback and corrective actions.
Process Improvement & Project Management: Partner with the HR team to evaluate and enhance departmental processes for operational efficiency. Cross‑train to support team members and provide backup during peak periods. Lead or contribute to assigned team and individual projects.
Confidentiality & Compliance: Ensure the confidentiality of employee records and adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field plus one year of related experience.
Three (3) years of general human resources experience is required.
Experience with computerized HRIS systems is required.
Preferred: SPHR, PHR, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‑SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM‑CP) credential.
Preferred: Previous experience with Paycom HRIS system.
Vaccination and TB Test All employees must receive an annual influenza shot and present a negative TB test before the first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions are available if necessary.
Salary Base pay range: $61,018.80 – $97,635.20 per year.

In these cases, employees will receive their regular pay for hours worked plus holiday pay.
