Summary Looking for a Camunda Developer with strong experience in workflow automation, BPMN, and integration with enterprise systems. The candidate should be comfortable working in hybrid environments (modern + legacy), contributing to cloud migration efforts, and building scalable, resilient process orchestration solutions. Collaboration and strategic thinking are essential.
Candidate Should Have
Core Technical Skills:
Strong hands‑on experience with Camunda BPM – BPMN modeling, DMN, and workflow orchestration
Experience integrating Camunda with Java/.NET micro‑services, REST APIs, and messaging systems
Familiarity with Confluent Kafka – event‑driven workflows and stream processing
Experience with AWS cloud services – EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.
Infrastructure automation using Terraform
Strong understanding of monitoring, triaging, and observability tools
Knowledge of scalability and resiliency patterns in distributed systems
Exposure to Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles
Migration & Legacy Work:
Experience with on‑prem to AWS migration – especially around workflow engines and orchestration layers
No hesitation to work on legacy systems
Ability to understand legacy workflows and define modernization strategies
Good to have: experience with Camunda 8, Zeebe, or other cloud‑native BPM platforms
Soft Skills:
Team player – collaborative and respectful
Strong communication – able to work across business and technical teams
Problem‑solving mindset – proactive and analytical
Adaptable – thrives in dynamic environments
Ownership & accountability – takes initiative

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development
Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Camunda BPM

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
