We’re looking for a Cost Analyst to join our ranks!
Purpose of the role We are looking for a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Cost Analyst to support our Service Center Network (SCN) operations. Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience, this role will focus on analyzing operational costs across service centers, identifying cost drivers, and supporting initiatives that enhance both financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Daily responsibilities
Analyze and monitor cost structures across the SCN, including labor, materials, logistics, and overhead.
Develop cost models to evaluate service center performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Work with customer contacts to validate the operator’s information as it pertains to inspection programs, additional work, and span‑time to ensure efficient planning and scheduling.
Enter customer data in various service center related databases.
Communicate customer data to other groups within MHIRJ Services to include maintenance engineering, programs, operations, planning, sales, finance, and other departments as required.
Generate customer database relevant to their inspection programs and additional work.
Set‑up maintenance work package hours to support financial analysis.
Analyze efficiency gains or losses to existing maintenance work package(s).
Obtain cost data from various providers – finance, Supply Chain or actual MHIRJ cost information directly from other vendors or operations and perform follow‑up to existing data or to create new data.
Respond to pricing queries from customers or internal groups (e.g., set‑up / investigation) in a timely manner, respecting customer or operational priorities.
Obtain approval for price changes and record price decisions in appropriate databases.
Collaborate with service center managers and customer experience teams to align cost strategies with service delivery goals.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for SCN operations.
Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer experience.
Assist in pricing strategies and service‑level cost assessments.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
Required for success
5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance service centers or field service operations.
2+ years of experience in cost analysis, preferably in a service operations or multi‑site environment.
Experience in a customer‑facing environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and operational KPIs.
Proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
