About the Role The Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities Onboarding:

Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.

Prepare new-hire paperwork and ensure a positive first-day experience.

Employee Relations:

Act as a first point of contact for all employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.

Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and procedures.

Conduct internal investigations and address employee complaints with discretion and empathy.

Guide managers on performance management.

HR Compliance and Policy Administration:

Ensure the company's HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

Develop, update, and communicate company policies and employee handbooks.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both physical and digital, including in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

Administers the company’s drug testing program and coordinates safety audits with a third‑party safety company.

Compensation and Benefits:

Assist with payroll processing and address employee payroll questions or discrepancies and ensure accurate compensation.

Administer and communicate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans (like 401(k)), and leave policies (FMLA).

Support the annual open enrollment process and resolve benefits-related issues.

Submit compliance reports.

Performance Management:

Assist with the performance review process, including tracking performance development plans.

Provide coaching and support to managers on performance evaluations and goal setting.

Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Training and Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.

Assist in the development and delivery of employee training programs.

Employee Engagement and Retention:

Help develop and implement initiatives to boost employee morale and foster a positive workplace culture.

Coordinate company events and employee recognition programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.

5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.

Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience with HRIS and ATS.

Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to manage confidential information.

Professional HR certification is preferred.

Experience with HR systems, preferably PayCom.

Microsoft Office experience – Word, Excel, Outlook.

Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills.
