This position offers a base pay range of $25.00/hr – $32.00/hr. Your actual pay will be determined by your skills, experience, and industry benchmarks.
What You Will Do
Perform high quality inspections to maintain customer compliance and inform them of deficiencies and impairments to their fire systems.
How You Will Do It
Conduct routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventive maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and all related equipment.
Work with low‑voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low‑voltage equipment.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using communication devices such as laptop computers or hard copy.
Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation through the laptop computer.
Complete assigned inspections on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
NICET Level II certification for Inspection and Testing of Water‑Based Systems or State equivalency, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
5–10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
Experience with fire pumps and backflow preventers.
Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and foam systems.
Ability to obtain and retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
Capability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs.
Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 ft, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
Flexibility to work on-call rotations, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
Willingness to travel out of town.
High level of customer service and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
Ability to pass a pre‑employment background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
Repair experience.
Backflow certification.
