Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
We are seeking an experienced Estate & Probate Paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of estate administration, probate matters, and trust administration. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in client communication, deadline management, and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
Responsibilities
Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and related court filings
Assist with estate and trust administration, including gathering assets, preparing asset schedules, and coordinating distributions
Draft correspondence, client engagement letters, and legal documents such as wills, codicils, and trust documents
Obtain and maintain death certificates, tax IDs, and letters testamentary/administration
Communicate with courts, financial institutions, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries
Maintain detailed case files, calendars, and deadlines
Conduct legal and factual research related to estate and probate matters
Prepare state and federal estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and probate pleadings (experience preferred)
Assist with real property transfers, including deeds, affidavits, and related filings
Support attorneys in client meetings and document execution
Qualifications
3+ years of probate, estate planning, or trust administration experience required
Strong understanding of probate procedures and court filing requirements
Experience with estate tax filings and fiduciary accounting preferred
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office suite
Exceptional communication, client-service, and organizational skills
Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
Paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. Hybrid/onsite based on firm policy.
