Augusta University – The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is seeking a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor to serve as a Learning Specialist on the Savannah Campus. The position is not tenure‑track but offers opportunities in teaching, faculty development, and curricular innovation. Location:

Full time (1.0 FTE) year‑round, fiscal year based. Responsibilities
Collaborate to provide optimal student support and educational experiences. Participate in academic performance hearings. Advise students on study skills, learning strategies, tutoring, remediation, and consultation. Provide faculty development in teaching and evaluation strategies and implement appropriate technologies. Offer curricular support to all students on the Savannah Campus and engage in curriculum and program development. Conduct regular assessment of curriculum, student achievement, and learning technologies and present findings to college administrators and faculty. Research current trends and emerging technologies in health‑care education to advise faculty for curricular design and implementation. Serve on departmental and college‑wide committees. Maintain reliable office‑hour schedule. Develop and pursue a professional development plan encompassing teaching, research, scholarship, and service. Demonstrate professional ethics in all duties. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
At least five years of related educational experience or appropriate training. Assistant Professor: early‑career faculty with postgraduate training. Associate Professor: mid‑career faculty with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor. Professor: senior‑career faculty with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor. Compliance with SACSCOC institutional accreditation requirements. Evidence of teaching ability, scholarly activity, and service‑oriented contributions. Successful experience (waived for new entrants meeting other criteria). Preferable personal qualities judged through interview and references. Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated effective teaching in clinical, small‑group, and large‑group settings and leadership of courses. Experience in faculty development and collaborative work with medical educators. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with critical thinking and flexibility. Innovation and scholarship in medical education. Shift / Salary / Benefits
FTE 1.0, year‑round. Salary commensurate with experience and position rank, subject to availability of funds.
