Are you a compassionate, dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful impact on individuals battling substance use disorders? The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment is seeking an experienced Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or an Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Temporary Permit (ADC‑T) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting patients on their journey to recovery within our Detox and Withdrawal Management Unit. CADT is a non‑profit organization and we are determined to help others struggling with Substance Use Disorders.
Summary The Center is looking for a compassionate LADC/ADC‑T to help provide direction and support to our patients. Under indirect supervision, this individual provides a range of substance abuse counseling services to individuals, groups, and families as appropriate. This individual will work in an environment requiring a moderate level of independence and will lead and train other providers/counselors.
Core Functions
Screening, intake, orientation, assessment, and treatment planning
Individual, group, and family counseling
Case management, crisis intervention, client education, and referrals
Record keeping and reporting
Consultation with other professionals
Responsibilities
Facilitate group and individual counseling with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
Create effective treatment plans that include counseling, case management, or other services
Discuss the treatment plan goals with patients regularly to identify faults or room for improvement
Educate patients about coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations
Record patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
Licensed by the state of Minnesota as an LADC; or have a temporary permit (ADC‑T); or have a license in a behavioral health field such as LSW, LPCC, LISW, LICSW, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and empathy skills
Good time‑management skills
Proven experience in developing effective treatment plans
Must be CPR and First Aid certified or obtain certification before direct patient contact
Must pass background studies issued by the Minnesota Department of Human Services
Hours First shift with some flexibility in specific hours that can be worked.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Pay: $24‑$32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
