Overview
The NY Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon will deliver high-quality surgical and non-surgical aesthetic care with a strong emphasis on post-bariatric body contouring. This role plays a key part in supporting patients through their full transformation journey while contributing to the continued growth, refinement, and reputation of our plastic surgery service line.

Base salary starting at $400,000, with additional performance-based bonus opportunities. Total compensation is determined based on experience and credentials.
Responsibilities
Mix of OR, inpatient, outpatient, and clinic
Mix of Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery
Perform a broad range of plastic and reconstructive procedures
Post-bariatric body contouring
Aesthetic procedures (injectables, laser treatments, facial plastics optional based on candidate skillset)
Skin excisions and reconstructive surgery as indicated
Partner with bariatric team to support comprehensive pre- and post-surgical planning and patient care
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and care coordination workflows
Conduct initial consultations, treatment planning, and post-operative care
Educate patients on expectations, recovery, risks, and outcomesContribute to the development and growth of our plastics subsidiary, including brand development, service line expansion, and marketing initiatives
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory and quality standards
Provide an exceptional patient experience rooted in safety, empathy, and aesthetic excellence
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board-certified or board‑eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Active or eligible medical license in the state
Fellowship training in aesthetic or body‑contouring (preferred but not required)
Experience with massive weight‑loss body contouring strongly preferred
Strong commitment to patient care, safety, and outcome excellence
Work Experience or Related Experience
1–2 years of post‑residency experience in plastic and/or reconstructive surgery preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
A sound understanding of patient aftercare and wound management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner.
The ability to be proactive and self‑directed utilizing good time management, decision‑making, and organization skills; prioritize multiple tasks.
Must have the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in growing a surgical service line.
