Job Title
Build, fit, and repair precision tools: jigs, fixtures, gauges, dies, molds, and special tooling. Job Duties: Read and interpret drawings and CAD models, including GD&T verify manufacturability and tolerances. Set up and operate machines: manual/CNC mills & lathes, grinders (surface, cylindrical), CNC/hand jig borers, and EDM (wire/sinker). Precision measurement: use micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, CMM; complete inspection reports. Tool assembly & tryout: fit components, blue-in, adjust clearances, conduct first-off trials, debug issues. Maintenance & repair: diagnose wear/failures, perform preventive maintenance and refurbish tooling. Process improvement: suggest design tweaks, tolerance changes, and build methods to reduce cost/lead time. Documentation: update tool drawings, BOMs, setup sheets, maintenance logs, and change records (ECNs). Tolerance +/- .0005 Skills and Qualifications: 1 year of experience with Tool Making or related field. Blueprint reading experience. Precision Measurements knowledge. Efficient verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand for 8+ hours throughout a shift. Benefits once hired in!
