Role Overview
The company is seeking a Sr. Manager, AI Assurance Services, to scale its consulting practice focused on ISO/IEC 42001 implementation. The ideal candidate will leverage prior experience implementing standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27007, SOC 2, or similar frameworks. That experience is critical to translating established security, privacy, and compliance skills into effective AI governance for clients.
This is a rare opportunity to join an early‑stage company, build a consulting practice from the ground up, lead high‑impact client engagements, influence the product roadmap, and contribute to the evolution of AI standards.
No prior ISO/IEC 42001 experience is required; training will be provided. What matters most is the ability to quickly learn and execute in a fast‑moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead client engagements for ISO/IEC 42001, including readiness assessments, gap analyses, risk management, policy development, and internal audits
Advise clients on AI risk management, ethical AI, and regulatory compliance using ISO/IEC 42001 and frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP AI Security and Privacy Guide, and the Cloud Security Alliance AI Controls Matrix
Build and grow the consulting practice by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and delivering high‑quality engagements
Work closely with product teams to translate client needs into product features and automation tools
Contribute thought leadership through white‑papers and industry forums
Mentor and develop consultants as the business grows
Stay current on developments in AI, LLMs, autonomous agents, and compliance to provide best‑in‑class guidance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or related field
7 or more years in audit, consulting, or implementation of ISO management standards (ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27007), SOC 2, with 2 or more years in leadership or client‑facing roles
Proven experience building and growing a consulting or audit practice, including business development and client management
Strong understanding of risk management, policy development, and compliance frameworks
Experience conducting internal audits, preparing compliance documentation, and guiding organizations toward external certification
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced, evolving start‑up environment
Preferred Qualifications
Technical background in cybersecurity, computer science, or AI/ML systems
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001 or other AI‑specific standards (NIST AI RMF, OECD AI Principles)
Involvement in industry working groups or standards bodies
Experience with both audit and implementation
Experience in healthcare (HIPAA, HITRUST) or financial services
