Base pay range $17.00/hr – $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.

Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.

Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfied.

Responsible for holding store keys to open and close without management as necessary.

Assists with coaching other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes and opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.

Registers all related sales on the assigned cash register, noting scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.

Assists the manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty package).

Assists in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sales merchandise, and completes resets and revisions.

Maintains accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across all departments, stockroom, and over‑stock locations.

Ensures the Outdate program is followed and assists with compliance for regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).

Performs basic department pricing, daily price changes, and signage updates to support accurate pricing; completes any other pricing tasks related to local regulations and compliance programs.

Assists with bookkeeping activities including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as requested.

Supports exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition, and requests repairs as needed.

Separates food items (e.g., raw foods from pre‑cooked) and places products per policy; assists in stock rotation using FIFO for consumables.

Has working knowledge of store systems and equipment.

Assists at the pharmacy out window when requested.

Conducts bag checks of team members before leaving the store.

Commits to all company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.

Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.

Serves as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.

Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Basic Qualifications

One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of store inventory control.

Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
