Title : CNC Machinist Location : Palatine, IL

Shift : 2nd Shift 4:30 pm - 1:00 am (Mon-Fri) Hire Type : Contract to Hire Salary : $27-$33/hr + 10% shift premium

Sterling Engineering is hiring CNC Machinists for a leading manufacturer of electrical grid solutions in Palatine, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company and loves to promote from within!

Job Duties : Setup and operate CNC machines per work instructions Perform part inspection using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges Deburr and clean parts using belt sanders or drill presses Maintain quality and production output in a self-directed environment Handle parts ranging from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. Enroll in S&C's Continuous Improvement Institute training as required Qualifications :

Intermediate: 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience Proficiency in blueprint reading and shop math Experience operating and setting up Okuma and Mazak machines Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment Familiarity with basic inspection tools and metal cutting practices Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
