Position Summary Workingunder the general supervision of the TWC President the Manager of RegulatoryAffairs implements the regulatory strategy and compliance efforts for thecompany, with a primary focus on engagement with the Public Utility Commissionof Texas (PUCT) and other regulatory bodies. This role oversees the preparationand submission of regulatory filings and serves as a key liaison betweeninternal departments. The Manager provides strategic support on legislative andregulatory developments, assists with acquisition activities, and ensuresalignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
SpecificResponsibilities Provide expertise and reports during PUCT rate case and rulemaking proceedings including open meeting summaries, requests for information and testimony preparation Prepare internal memos summarizing legislative and regulatory guidelines Provide support and analysis for acquisitions Build and maintain relationships with state and local elected officials, business leaders, industry peers, regulators and other stakeholders Implement regulatory strategies that support business objectives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Reviews and supports legal contracts Tracks other market participants pertinent filings and provides summaries and recommendations to the organization. Prepare and monitor regulatory applications and filings primarily for the PUCT such as pass-through charge filings, CCN filings, annual reports, System Improvement Charge filings and Sale, Transfer, Merger applications. Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes; communicate impacts and recommend strategic responses Prepares annual reports for PUCT and TWDB Support Records Management - Information Governance Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership
RequiredKnowledge Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of utility rate-making methodologies and regulatory requirements Ability to utilize current applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Ability to prepare internal memorandums and analysis report from various data sources Knowledge or ability to learn the processes and filings required by the PUCT, TCEQ, and TWDB Ability to multitask while staying attentive to details and changing priorities. Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work under deadlines Commissioned Notary Preferred
