POSITION SUMMARY
: Facilitate in the manufacture of quality brake pads
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-COMBINATION LINE SCORCH OPERATOR: • Operate Scorch Machines as assigned • Start-up following steps outlined in JA-SC-C-006 • Complete weight loss test in accordance with OP-TM-C-042 • Complete all required check sheets • Use cart to transport totes to machine for loading pads to scorch machine. • Follow lot cards to ensure proper date and lot is being processed • Load pads into machine • Inspect pads when they complete scorching cycle and load tote position on a cart • Stage cart for transport to S/R/K area. • Hold non-conforming pads and process per QSP-13-001 • Tag completed pallets for QA inspection process • Record shift production on Scorching Inspections Results form and submit paperwork to supervisor. • When changing product on Scorch #2 follow procedure outlined in MS-SC-C-004 • As determined by production schedule, shutdown machines following specified shut down procedures as
defined by machine • Notify Shift Supervisor or maintenance when shutdown has been completed. • In case of an emergency, engage "Emergency Stop", close "Main Gas Supply Valve"
and notify supervisor and/or maintenance immediately
General: • Follow all safety guidelines as defined for scorching operation • Wear and maintain PPE equipment as specified • Lift 35 (+) lbs. frequently - full totes to staging platform and full totes to pallet • General cleaning and all 5S procedures as defined for area • Excellent attendance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
