P-CEP Master Scheduler
LOCATION: Plymouth-Canton Educational Park - Salem High School
DESCRIPTION:
The P-CEP Master Scheduler will prepare the overall planning, inputting, creation, and implementation of a Plymouth Canton Educational Park (P-CEP) master scheduling process for approximately 5,900 students and 300 teachers. Define parameters for school master schedule and maintain communication and support to the school campus around the master scheduling process. Ensure proper planning and creation and preparation of the scheduling process and align master schedule with district expectations and priorities. Define scheduling parameters and plan with school administration around key information including, enrollment projections, allocation of FTEs, and curriculum alignment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree required in a related field or equivalent of 3 years work experience related to scheduling and project management. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization. Ability to lead and motivate staff at all levels of the organization in completing projects and maintaining high levels of response time in customer service. Demonstrated computer experience in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Expertise working with complex Excel spreadsheets preferred. Experience with district student information system preferred. Interpersonal and judgmental skills necessary to work effectively with students, staff and the public. Excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills. Strong analytical math and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze work and projects to achieve maximum efficiency, anticipate problems and provide solutions. Accepts direction from multiple supervisors. Ability to set, manage, and coordinate multiple priorities and multitask. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong ability to work independently without direct supervision. Must be detail oriented. Ability to maintain confidential information. Careful attention to detail and record maintenance and high quality work. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for the creation of the Master Schedule for students and staff at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park in collaboration with the P-CEP Administrators. Assists administrators, department representatives and/or counselors in assigning teachers to class periods and classroom space. Ensures all course numbers are entered into the student information system and coded properly. Coordinates all scheduling timelines and activities as well as being responsible for dual enrollment, virtual school and Early Middle College scheduling. Prepares and processes all grade reports at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park. Supports middle and high school staff with the grade reporting process. Assists with the gathering of student achievement data. Provides support and coaching to staff in the use of the electronic grade book and programs to access assessment results. Support for families with MISTAR parent portal issues. Bending, lifting, and overhead work required. Performs other tasks as directed by the administrator responsible for the P-CEP schedule. EVALUATION : Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Non-Classified Personnel.
