Primary Purpose:
Assist the Director of Athletics in coordinating the athletic program of the district. Facilitate the efficient operation of the Director of Athletics Office, provide functional direction to clerical employees of the Athletic Department and handle confidential information involving frequent contact with all levels of the district.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the overall operations of the Athletic Department Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing athletics Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills Experience:
At least 3 years of advanced office management skills, with in-depth knowledge of school district Athletic Department operations Experience in executive department of public school district (preferred) Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Organize and manage routine work activities of the Athletic Director's office Supervise and maintain accountability for funds/monies received in the Athletic Department from athletic event gate receipts, athletic event fees, marketing fees, facility rentals and other revenue sources Assist in preparation of athletic budget Assist in compiling information and preparing reports, as needed Schedule appointments and maintain calendar Greet visitors and respond to routine inquiries from staff and the public; refer appropriate inquiries or problems to Athletic Director Supervise schedules and work assignments for assigned office personnel Assist in making travel arrangements and organize visits from outside officials Maintain confidentiality of information for the office of Athletic Director Follow all rules, regulations and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from supervisor Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor Perform other functions that may be assigned by the administration and/or supervisor Equipment Used:
Computer, printer, copier, calculator and fax Working Conditions: Mental Demands:
Reading; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); ability to operate computer; maintain emotional control under stress Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Work with frequent interruptions. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling;prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
