Lead Trade Compliance Analyst (Hybrid) West Point, PA or Rahway, NJ Summary: As a Lead Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company’s imports and exports meet global trade regulations and compliance standards. You will manage activities that take place prior to shipment, including transactional entry tasks aligned with Customs and Health Authorities, as well as handling various export agency licenses and permits. Your collaboration with Logistics, Transportation, Clinical Country Operations, and third-party vendors will be key in overcoming challenges related to trade policy adherence and shipment-specific issues. Responsibilities: Support the implementation of trade compliance strategies that align with our business objectives and enhance our global operations. Oversee US and international imports and exports involving products requiring special licenses or permits, particularly those handled by third-party suppliers. Conduct thorough reviews of shipment requests and accompanying documents to ensure they adhere to compliance standards. Complete all necessary trade attributes in our Global Trade Management system for compliant customs clearance and export declarations. Collaborate with the GTC Center of Excellence to obtain necessary HTS classifications and FDA Product Code assignments. Navigate our Trade Operations Standard Business Practices, ensuring alignment with global compliance policies. Engage and influence external stakeholders to maintain adherence to our Standard Business Practices. Provide support to U.S. and potentially global shipping sites for import and export transaction challenges. Contribute to special projects and assignments related to international trade as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred. Trade-related certification or Customs Broker License is desirable. 5-7 years of logistics experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 5 years focused on international trade. Strong knowledge of customs and governmental import/export regulations, along with relevant experience. Experience working with international companies, third-party suppliers, and logistics carriers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Familiarity with global trade management systems such as SAP GTS or Integration Point is a plus. Fluency in English is required. Excellent project management abilities and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to maintain high performance in managing substantial workloads. A commitment to diversity and inclusion.
