Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Battery Testing & Development Engineer to join our battery technology team. This individual will support testing, analysis, and development of battery cells and modules, working closely with senior engineers to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy storage technologies and grow within a high-impact, innovation-driven company.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, assemble, and test battery cells, modules, and systems according to test protocols.
Set up and operate battery test equipment (e.g., cyclers, environmental chambers, impedance meters, safety test systems).
Conduct performance, cycle life, and safety testing under controlled conditions.
Collect, analyze, and document test data using standard tools such as Excel, LabView, or Python.
Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results in lab notebooks or digital logs.
Assist in root-cause analysis of battery failures and performance deviations.
Support electrode preparation, cell assembly (pouch/cylindrical), and materials evaluation as needed.
Follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and hazard-free laboratory environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
Basic understanding of electrochemistry and lithium-ion (or related) battery systems .
Experience with lab equipment and testing tools is a plus (training will be provided).
Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or other data tools is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, hands-on problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions in a fast-paced technical environment.
