Position Summary

We are seeking a Staff Frontend Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of our customer-facing applications. In this role, you will set the technical vision and roadmap for our contractor-facing frontend application and have an impact beyond our team to frontend engineering across the larger organization. You will serve as both a hands-on individual contributor and trusted technical leader, mentoring engineers, and communicating best practices to ensure that we deliver high-quality software at a high velocity. This position requires a unique balance of technical expertise, architectural vision and strong communication and collaboration skills. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Define and communicate the technical vision and long-term roadmap for frontend development, ensuring alignment with product goals and business needs.

Optimize the team to perform at their very best. Identify technical debt and craft an engineering roadmap.

Provide technical and personal mentorship to earlier-career engineers, growing their ability to make an impact.

Write detailed technical specifications

Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align with business objectives.

Review and debug code, and provide helpful coaching and feedback to other engineers

Qualifications

8+ years of frontend engineering experience, with an expertise in React/Typescript

Familiarity with modern build tools (Vite) testing frameworks (Jest, RTL) and CI/CD best practices.

Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams.

Ability to influence technical direction and work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and executive teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to leverage AI tools to augment your velocity
