Director of Manufacturing & Sustaining Engineering
Location: Westwood, MA
Type: Full-Time, Permanent | Reports to: COO
Compensation: $200K$240K base + Annual Bonus + Equity

$34MM in fresh Series B funding , backed by two major strategic OEM investors, this is a rare opportunity to help scale a cutting-edge therapy from early commercial launch into global growth.
The Opportunity As
Director of Manufacturing & Sustaining Engineering , youll be the operational cornerstone guiding the company from FDA approval to commercial scale. Youll oversee manufacturing, supply chain, and sustaining R&D functions
building the systems and team that will define the companys next chapter.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Operations Leadership Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations to ensure seamless product delivery. Drive process optimization for
efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness . Partner closely with R&D, production, and commercial teams to ensure smooth product transitions and continuous improvement. Sustaining R&D Lead sustaining engineering efforts to support post-market product enhancements. Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to quality standards across manufacturing processes. Team Leadership Manage and mentor a growing
engineering team (currently 4 direct reports). Foster a
culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence . Budgeting & Strategic Resource Management Develop and manage departmental budgets. Allocate resources and investments based on R OI, scalability, and long-term strategy .
What You Bring BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field). 15+ years of medical device manufacturing experience
ideally in catheter-based or implantable systems (vascular, endoscopic, or similar minimally invasive platforms). 5+ years of leadership
and people management experience. Deep understanding of
design for manufacturability, process validation, and supply chain
strategy for regulated devices. Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator who can navigate between R&D and operations seamlessly.
