Overview

We are hiring in Danville, Indiana at Healthy Paws Animal Hospital. We are a noncorporate, family owned local business. We both live in and serve the community. We promote a positive, fun, caring culture and a close knit team focused on improving the quality of care for our patients while working closely with their pet parents. We currently have a staff of 3 DVMs and are looking to add associates to our team. We offer integrative medicine approaches and surgery, with encouragement for associates to follow their passion. We schedule 30 minute appointments to allow for a fear-free positive experience. Onsite in-house diagnostics, digital radiographs, digital dental radiology, a dedicated dental suite, a companion laser, and more. Our expansion will provide more space including separation from dog and cat sides, with a final result of 9 exam rooms and an additional comfort/consult room with a separate entrance. We have 4 RVTs currently, with three of our veterinary assistants in tech school. Need more variety? House call appointments with our van named "Fern" are available if you desire. Prefer surgery? We can accommodate that as well. Schedule flexibility is available with both PT and FT positions. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough veterinary examinations of animals to diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries Perform surgical procedures as needed, including spaying/neutering, tumor removals, and dental procedures Prescribe medications and administer treatments to animals as necessary Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff to provide comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records for all patients Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education courses as required Experience

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school Valid state veterinary license Previous experience working as a Veterinarian is preferred but not required Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases Proficiency in veterinary terminology and diagnostic procedures Excellent animal handling skills with the ability to calm anxious or aggressive animals Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and techniques Familiarity with dog training methods and techniques Ability to perform animal catheterization and other basic medical procedures Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously Proficiency in practice management software for record keeping (Pulse) Benefits & Compensation
