PROJECT ENGINEER
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with our project managers in pre-construction planning, document control, processes management and procurement. They will organize and coordinate the review of submittals and the RFI process as well as preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned projects from start to finish. The ideal applicant will be capable of independently managing and controlling both internal and external aspects of a job starting from development/scoping phase, bidding, contracting, to full project execution.
Responsibilities:
· Provide Support for Project Managers and Superintendents as needed
· Maintain and organize plan Drawings, revisions, change orders etc.
· Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor all assigned projects
· Prepare, send, and catalog Bid packages
· Manage RFI’S
· Manage Scheduling
· Maintain quality control in every area ( budget, scheduling, planning, execution)
· Coordinate with inspectors, design engineers, vendors, and contractors to resolve issues found during construction. Be able to build strong relationships.
· Be able to read plans and drawing to give accurate details.
· Provide shop drawings for fabrication
· Submit plans and related paper work for permitting of projects at city and county offices
· Be able to communicate clearly the needs of a project through written, drawings, or verbal formats.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Then communicate a plausible solution.
Qualifications:
· Construction Industry work experience (Min 3 years experience)
· Proficiency in operating MS excel, outlook, word, AutoCAD, Procore, Microsoft Projects
· Knowledge of CSI Cost Codes
· Excellent Communication skills and strong work ethics
· Construction industry work experience
· General knowledge of construction principles/practices
· Can effectively shift workload, priorities, and resources with changing scope and deadlines and still maintain overall work quality.
