ProSidian is seeking an Electrical Safety Support Specialist - GSSC (Full-Time [W-2]) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford. Preferred candidates present with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal). This service supports with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and ProSidian Team Members work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category) to fulfill FFP - Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Task Order (TO) requirements for a provide Electrical Safety Support services on behalf of The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD). This includes support performing oversight of the Hanford Site Electrical Safety program as part of The Hanford General Support Services Contract (GSSC). Under the direction of the NSD Central Engineering Team Lead, this resource will have responsibility for the following work scope. NSD is responsible for electrical safety for the DOE-Waste Treatment Plant (WTP), Tank Farms (TF), 222-S Laboratory (HLMI), Central Plateau contractor (CPCCo), and the Mission Support contractor (HMIS). This oversight is conducted to ensure that the Hanford Site is operating safely and the WTP safety programs are developed to support construction, start-up, and commissioning. Electrical Safety Support Specialist - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for #FY22-020: Electrical Safety Support Services Swim Lanes. Assist with planning and performing assessments of policies, programs, procedures, and processes related to electrical safety Document assessments, reviews, and field observations of work activities to collect data in support of assessment evaluations and conclusions in the DOE integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) database Provide briefs to DOE Management, Team Leads, and Safety Systems Oversight (SSO) engineers) Assist with evaluation of effectiveness of contractor corrective actions Attend various training, meetings, and discussions relevant to ongoing oversight activities Support the SSO program (e.g., mentoring, training preparation, compiling metrics, procedure review/update, etc.) Interface with DOE-ORP/RL subject matter experts Provide field oversight of WTP, TF, HLMI, CPCCo, and HMIS activities ensuring Electrical Safety Support Specialist identifies and applies requirements that, when implemented, provide adequate safety, demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and demonstrate conformance with overall DOE safety performance standards and principles. The Electrical Safety Support Specialist - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Electrical Safety Support Specialist shall possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, preferably electrical engineering, or relevant work experience in the field of electrical safety Working knowledge in the following: DOE O 422.1 Conduct of Operations programs (preferred) Construction safety and oversight DOE assessment process, techniques, and tools (preferred) Electrical safety standards and codes (i.e., IEEE standards, ISA standards, NFPA-70 National Electrical Code, and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in the Workplace) Fundamental understanding of nuclear, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and physical science concepts and their application to facility operations, environmental cleanup, facility D&D, waste management, including associated safety management programs Experience in safety inspections, incident investigation, causal analysis, management review and appraisal techniques, and quality assurance Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding the regulations associated with the DOE, Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, state and local, and related industry standards by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the American National Standards Institute Excellent communication skills Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and/or other MS Office tools Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings U.S. Citizenship Additional Information
