Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, commodities, and supplier relationships for a leading automotive manufacturer. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services necessary for production operations.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee procurement of commodities and raw materials to support production needs
· Develop and maintain relationships with both domestic and international suppliers
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and quality
· Issue purchase orders and manage the full procurement cycle within SAP
· Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards
· Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics to forecast material needs
· Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
· Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
· 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
· Proficiency in SAP
· Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
· Experience working with international suppliers is highly preferred
