POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will work under the close supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This includes inspecting and servicing various components such as chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Help create a sustainable world. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain advanced knowledge and skills in vehicle systems to perform complex repair and maintenance tasks. Provide chassis component repairs and maintenance. Work on refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air and hydraulic brake systems. Perform engine repairs and maintenance. Regularly service suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Handle heating and air conditioning system maintenance. Engage in line maintenance welding and fabrication. Use electronic tools to identify malfunction sources. Complete relevant company training programs. Execute other job-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks. Ability to independently perform inspections and repairs on various heavy truck automotive systems, including Suspensions & Steering, Engines, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, and Drive Train. ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are advantageous but not mandatory. Experience with LNG and CNG systems is beneficial but not required. A valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Driver's License.
