Content Writer (Contributor Spotlight) Organization Overview: Greenstand is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Alaska, United States. Our focus is alleviating poverty and combatting climate change through technology. Greenstand helps rural farmers earn income by planting and tracking trees, which are turned into Impact Tokens for trading in the Treetracker app. Treetracker by Greenstand is an open-source application that verifies tree planting initiatives, making reforestation efforts transparent and accountable. Volunteer Description: Greenstand is a dynamic community of 2,000+ self-motivated volunteers, change-makers, and globally distributed teams. We seek passionate and creative content writers to select, interview, and highlight Contributors to the organization. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams. This experience is perfect for up and coming journalists and blog article writers ready for a purpose-driven mission. Content Writers will collect and write 600-word articles to publish 2 per month. Mastery of the English language Ability to select and interview contributors Ability to create bios and content Ability to share articles with appropriate channels Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
