Data Engineer
Grady Health System is one of the largest public academic healthcare systems in the U.S., serving metro Atlanta with a legacy of compassion, innovation, and excellence. We're seeking a Data Engineer to help us harness the power of data to improve patient outcomes, streamline operations, and support our mission of health equity. What You'll Do As a Data Engineer at Grady, you'll be a key player in building and optimizing our data infrastructure. You'll design scalable pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights that empower clinical and operational teams across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines to support enterprise data needs Integrate data from clinical systems, APIs, warehouses, and external sources Build and maintain BI solutions to monitor performance and drive strategic decisions Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through validation and cleansing Optimize workflows for performance and scalability Collaborate across departments to support data-driven initiatives Troubleshoot and resolve data/reporting issues with precision and urgency What You Bring Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field 6+ years of experience in data engineering, integration, and optimization Hands-on experience with big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) Proficiency in SQL and Python Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data tools (Databricks, Snowflake) Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata) Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Excellent communication and business acumen Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data orchestrating and automation tools like Airflow or Jenkins following CI/CD pipelines Certification in EPIC Caboodle or EPIC Clarity Why Join Grady?
