Electrical Engineer

The work entails: requirements review, component selection, creation of design packages, and generation of test procedures. The candidate will work with either Intel(Quartus) and/or AMD(Vivado) building tools. VHDL code development will be the primary task in this role. The engineer will also be responsible for supporting the design development through the release cycle. The position requires research, design, development, and testing of complex electrical designs including documentation development, hands-on test and troubleshooting, and formal documentation of the electrical design. The programs require broad electrical support, including issue resolution to distributed I/O architectures, remote test station equipment, and power distribution systems. Work across disciplines during integration and test activities is required. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum of 4-5 years of professional level experience Knowledge of VHDL and low level firmware board support packaging development. Experience with either Intel(Quartus) and/or AMD(Vivado) building tools. VHDL code development Flexibility to support scheduled and unscheduled weekend and off-shift hour Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level. Desired Skills: Simulation/Testbench experience with higher level chip scenarios with Questa-Sim System Verilog knowledge is a plus for simulation purposes. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488.
