Medical Staff Specialist

Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Medical Staff Specialist delivers comprehensive coordination and organizational support to the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Staff Department Heads, and Chairpersons of Medical Staff Committees, while carrying out confidential and time-sensitive responsibilities within medical staff services. This role encompasses complete management of medical credentialing and privileging processes, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. The Medical Staff Specialist also facilitates robust communication among medical staff, clinicians, administration, and other pertinent departments. Furthermore, this position is responsible for organizing and managing medical staff service meetings, as well as overseeing all aspects of peer review monitoring and tracking. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Level of Education: Requires High School Diploma. Preferred education level equivalent to completion of two years of college or technical school. This position requires analytical skills and the ability to formulate computerized reports. Formal Training: Must have Medical Staff Office experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Licensure, Certification, Registration: CPCS and/or CPMSM Certification Preferred. Work Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years' work-related experience. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Medical Credentialing Software Application is a plus.
