About the Role
The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role as the Managing Director of Engagement Quality Review (Partner Level). In this position, you will lead the EQR group, overseeing the review of financial statements, work papers, and related audited and reviewed documents to ensure strict compliance with PCAOB, AICPA, regulatory standards, and internal firm policies. You will assist with internal quality programs and lead or support the QC group during internal and external inspections. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters, mentor the firm's assurance personnel, and recommend best practices while identifying opportunities for quality enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the review of engagement quality to ensure compliance with standards.
Oversee training and development initiatives for assurance personnel.
Collaborate with the QC group on inspections and quality programs.
Proactively identify areas for quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
CPA designation.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards, particularly ASC 820 and ASC 946.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse groups. Professionalism, integrity, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are essential. This role may require extended hours, weekend work, and occasional travel to various firm locations.
