Key Job Details Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Float Pool) Location: Parkersburg, WV 26101 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/2/2025 – End: 2/1/2026) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), weekends as scheduled Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130 Float Pool: All inpatient units (ICU, Step-down, Med/Surg) based on competency Charting System: EPIC Scrub Color: Royal Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in West Virginia or compact state (required for travel nurse jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience; Step-down experience preferred BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required) Competency to float to ICU, Step-down, and Med/Surg units Experience with titrating drips in step-down areas Excellent communication and teamwork skills Copy of unexpired driver’s license required upon submission Nursing Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units Float between Med/Surg, Step-down, and ICU units as assigned Monitor and manage cardiac, ortho/neuro, surgical, and medical patients Titrate and manage common drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and others) in step-down areas Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse aides and monitor techs Read and interpret telemetry strips Utilize CPAP and BiPAP equipment; ventilator management in ICU Participate in unit-specific orientation (3-4 shifts) Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team in Parkersburg, WV and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
