Director, Technology Strategic Sourcing

We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade. The Director, Technology Strategic Sourcing, is a transformative enterprise leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership, including EVPs, SVPs, and C-suite executives. This role shapes the companys global technology sourcing strategy and partnerships across the technology landscape. As a global people manager, the Director leads a medium-sized, geographically dispersed team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance. The Director also plays a major leadership role in the ongoing transformation of Global Sourcing and Procurement at PayPal, driving modernization, strategic alignment, and enterprise value. Essential Responsibilities: Execute the organizations sourcing strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and delivers value. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, cost savings, and quality improvements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies. Develop and use scorecards to measure and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing operations. Explore and evaluate new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
