About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Managed Services Provider (MSP) team. This role is ideal for a motivated security professional with 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations who thrives in a fast-paced, partner-focused environment. You will play a critical role in implementing, managing, and leading the deployment, monitoring, and management of advanced security tools, performing CyberSecurity Risk Assessments, and guiding customers through remediation and recovery when security compromises occur. Key Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and manage security solutions. Conduct CyberSecurity Risk Assessments (CSRAs), identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations. Lead remediation efforts for customers who experience a compromise, ensuring full containment and recovery. Draft and deliver Incident Reports following remediation, documenting root cause, remediation actions, and preventative recommendations. Monitor, investigate, and respond to Security & Backup alerts and incidents across multiple customer environments. Collaborate with SOC/NOC and engineering teams to remediate possible threats, harden systems, and strengthen partner environments. Support compliance efforts (NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, HIPAA, etc.). Educate customers and internal team on emerging threats, security policies, and best practices. Help refine internal security playbooks, incident response processes, and escalation paths within the MSP framework.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or security engineering. Hands-on experience with SentinelOne, RocketCyber, SaaS Alerts, Cisco Duo, Cisco Umbrella, ConnectWise PAM, Graphus, Dark Web ID/Bullphish ID, Microsoft Entra ID P1 & P2, Microsoft Defender, 1Password Enterprise, Datto SaaS Protection, Datto BCDR, Unitrends Backup, and Cisco Firewalls (ASA/Meraki). Proven ability to perform Cybersecurity Risk Assessments and produce clear, actionable professional reports. Experience in incident response and remediation, including documenting and communicating post-incident reports. Knowledge of endpoint protection, MFA, SIEM/XDR tools, and firewall configuration. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, CSF, HIPAA). College Level Degree in CyberSecurity or equivalent. Security certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Cisco CISSP, CompTIA CySA+, or equivalent.
