Samsung Ads, the advertising monetization arm of Samsung Electronics, leverages proprietary data to promote relevant brands and content experiences for consumers. We partner with brands, agencies and content owners to deliver unique advertising opportunities. Samsung’s unique first party data helps brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our Smart TVs. Samsung’s owned and operated advertising inventory on Mobile and CTV is key to our execution with leading properties such as Samsung News and Samsung TV Plus. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory. To further the growth of our ads platform, we are expanding our efforts at the intersection of the retail vertical in the emerging digital out of home sector to provide a more holistic and cross-channel solution to our advertiser partners. In partnership with the Samsung Electronics Visual display team, we are launching an offering that provides advertisers the unique ability to reach and engage consumers at the path to purchase and point of purchase. We are looking for a Director of Supply Partnerships to help us launch and grow this new offering within the Samsung Ads business.
Main Responsibilities
This role is directly responsible for acquiring new strategic supply partners that will be critical to our unique supply differentiation in the DOOH space. This person will also be responsible for the ongoing relationship management and needs assessment of our strategic supply partners, as well as evaluate new business models that allow us to grow our DOOH supply footprint faster.
Build a pipeline of new supply and achieve our key objective of new screen count Establish relationships with new supply contacts and convince them to partner with Samsung over other competitors through effective sales strategy, presentations and internal coordination.
Support our internal EBT teams in sales pitches, attend meetings and conferences that are relevant to our target market.
Grow relationships with existing partners at the highest levels of their organizations to aid in account retention efforts.
Assess needs of our partners to identify 1) upsell opportunities and 2) future product requirements that Samsung Ads will need to deliver on.
Negotiate and close contracts with direct and re-seller partners to help us grow our supply footprint.
Develop and execute a sales strategy to help increase deal velocity - Partner with marketing to craft, develop and execute in-market messaging.
Be the expert on our DOOH offering for buyers, the DOOH landscape and our value to buyers.
Maintain a record of all DOOH sales activities and provide reporting/analysis - Willingness to travel to meet with and clients in person.
Job Experience and Knowledge 10-15+ Years of professional experience.
5+ years of experience in DOOH or Retail media.
Deep understanding of the traditional and programmatic DOOH market.
Ability to listen to prospects/clients, and consultatively sell to their needs.
Willingness to persevere through adversity, possesses grit and determination.
Superb presentation and relationship building skills.
For candidates based in New York or California, compensation for this role is expected to be between $200,000 and $215,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. #LI-PC1
